Musicians:

· Brian 'Liquorice' Locking: bass on track 1.
Trivia:
· By 1966 PYE Records in the UK and Hickory Records in the US retained the rights to all the tracks Donovan had recorded until then. However, PYE Records retained also the right to release future Donovan's albums and singles in the UK and meanwhile any new Donovan's recordings were legally barred from release. That hindered the release of the Sunshine Superman album in the UK. Hickory Records released You're Gonna Need Somebody On Your Bond and To Try For The Sun in the US, and PYE Records released Josie in the UK, all of them without Donovan's consent.
· The Josie single became the first Donovan release to fail to chart in the UK, just as the You're Gonna Need Somebody On Your Bond and To Try For The Sun singles failed to chart in the US.
· The Little Tin Soldier is listed as Little Tin Soldier. |
